Since 1967, CalleaDesign has been designing and making objects in Italy that bring time into architecture.
Born from the Callea family's craft experience, the company has evolved its manufacturing knowledge into a recognisable design language where form, colour, proportion and movement become part of the space.
OUR ORIGINS
A family story, since 1967.
CalleaDesign began in Trieste with Livio Callea and a workshop dedicated to making interior objects. Over time, that craft culture became a family company with a clear design identity of its own.
Today the second generation, Adriano and Giulio Callea, continues that work. Design decisions and production knowledge still meet in the same place, preserving the direct relationship between the idea and the object.
DESIGNED AND MADE IN THE SAME PLACE
From the first line to the final finish.
Every CalleaDesign piece is developed and made in our Italian atelier. Keeping the main production stages close to the design process gives us direct control over quality, proportion, colour and finish.
It also preserves something essential to our way of working: the flexibility to adapt a piece through special colours, dedicated configurations and personalisation rather than treating design as a fixed industrial formula.
CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS PRECISION
Technology extends the hand.
Contemporary production technologies allow us to work with accuracy and consistency, while manual finishing and assembly preserve the sensitivity that defines the final object.
For us, digital precision and craftsmanship are not opposites. They are two parts of the same process: one gives repeatability and control, the other gives judgement, care and character.
\nThe movement is selected in the same way. Different clocks require different technical solutions, so we choose high-quality movements according to the size, weight and construction of each model, with precision, reliability and very quiet operation as key criteria.
A LANGUAGE BUILT AROUND TIME

Over the years, CalleaDesign has explored time through different scales and typologies, always considering the object as part of the architecture around it.
Wall clocks
Graphic compositions in which the dial becomes part of the wall through geometry, colour and proportion.
02Pendulum clocks
The visible oscillation of the pendulum is reduced to an essential architectural gesture: movement becomes part of the design.
03World time
Multiple time zones become a single composition for internationally connected homes, offices, hotels and workplaces.
FROM OBJECT TO SYSTEM
KAM. Colour becomes part of the design.
KAM places personalisation at the centre of the project. Five independent elements can be interpreted through different colours, finishes and materials, allowing each composition to establish its own relationship with the interior.
From KAM Origine to our Visions and Limited Editions, the same structure can move from individual configuration to a curated design language and collectible editions.
CALLEADESIGN ATELIER
Time as something to perceive.
Atelier is the most open territory of our research. Here time is not only measured: it becomes a material through which to investigate light, form, space and perception.
ORIGO opens this path by returning to one of the most elementary ways of perceiving time — light and shadow — and turning it into a three-dimensional composition on the wall.

Trieste is our home: a city between the sea, Central Europe and Italian culture. That position has always shaped a way of looking outward while remaining deeply connected to making things well.
From our atelier in San Dorligo della Valle, near Trieste, we design and make objects that now live in homes and professional spaces in many countries.
